Introducing Events Planning Friday
Today is events planning Friday. Every Friday I will put together a menu and an outfit for a different themed event. Since this weekend is Labor Day weekend, my first theme will be BBQ. This is something I know I will be doing with my family this weekend. This is perfect for a day at the beach, the park, the lake or in your own backyard.
For the Menu
Appetizer–Chips and Salsa
First Course–Balsamic Fruit Salad
Second Course–Chili and Grilled Bread
Third Course–Baked Potatoes and Corn on the Cobb
Put holes in the potato with a fork and wrap in tinfoil. Pull back corn husks and spread vegan butter spread (Smart Balance) on corn. Then lay husks back over corn and wrap in tinfoil. Place potato and corn on the grill for about an hour. In a bowl mix together 1 container vegan sour cream (Tofutti Brand), 1 bunch chopped green onions, juice from 1/2 a lime and a pinch of salt. Set in refrigerator for baked potato topping until dinner is ready.
Dessert–Grilled Peaches in White Wine Fruit Sauce
To Drink–Strawberry Lemonade
