First Vegan Fashion Deconstruction (VFD) Day
Today is the Vegan Fashion Blogs first vegan fashion deconstruction day. Wednesday’s will be dedicated to taking outfits seen in Hollywood and in fashion magazines and veganizing them to make the outfit cruelty-free and as eco-conscious as possible. Today’s outfit is worn by Kate Beckinsale while shopping in LA as found at Glam.com.

Kate is wearing a straight legged jean with a white peasant blouse. The blouse is belted with a black leather belt and the outfit is completed with black leather wedge sandals.

Our outfit is similar in style, but done with vegan flare. The shirt is a smock waist peasant top by Newport News Brands that comes in brown, dijon-mustard, white, and dark turquoise and retails for $20-$23. The jeans are an organic straight legged denim from Loomstate’s Ethos collection and retail for $165.90. The black belt, by Chambers, is made of synthetic material with a faux croc print and retails for $14.00. It can be purchased at Amazon.com. The black crochet sandals, though not exactly like the ones in the picture (we think ours are cuter), are by LifeStride and retail for $47.95.
Let us know how you like this weeks vegan fashion deconstruction. We would love to hear from you. Also, if you find an outfit that you would like us to deconstruct for you send it to cindymitch@gmail.com and I will be happy to feature in the weekly fashion deconstruction column.
