Aveda Hair Care Products
I wrote out my whole post yesterday and hit submit to post to my blog and I was redirected to the sign in page and my whole post was lost. I was just getting ready to pick up my son from school and didn’t have time to write the whole thing again, so here I am today attempting to re-create the post.
First order is business, I believe today is the last day of the Ethical Fashion Show. It appears that they are in the process of updating their site, so I will check back tomorrow and hopefully have some great links for you.
For this weeks Vegan Girl Talk, I wanted to talk about hair care. Many people hold the belief that organic and vegan hair care products just don’t work as good as chemical rich salon products. That may have been true at one time, but this is no longer the case. Many great companies have come out with great, hair nurishing products. One of my favorites happens to be Aveda (they are also one of the sponsors for this years Ethical Fashion Show). There are so many great Aveda products, that I am only going to present a few on this blog, but will provide a link to a more extensive listing of Aveda products.
I happen to have very fine, straight, limp hair and definitely need a little help in the volumizing department. So I will be showing you all some of Aveda’s great volumizing hair care products. Of course, number one is shampoo. If you do nothing else, you absolutely must shampoo your hair. Aveda has a great volumizing shampoo, that really adds bounce to your hair called the Pure Abundance Volumizing Shampoo.
Many of the ingredients in this shampoo are certified organic and Aveda does not use animal ingredients or animal testing.
I also always use conditioner, otherwise I wouldn’t get a brush through my hair. Aveda’s Pure Abundance Volumizing Caly Conditioner, softens hair without weighing it down.
Aveda also has a great Volumizing Tonic, for those who need a little extra help
You can’t go wrong with these products. They are cruelty-free and when possible use ingredients obtained from sustainable farming. Thank you Aveda for not making a girl choose between ethics and beauty.
