Thanksgiving Vegan Events Planning
With it being so close to Thanksgiving, today’s events planning is all about planning an elegant Thanksgiving dinner. I myself, will be cooking a more traditional (vegan) dinner, you can check out my dinner menu and recipes at The Vegan Place. For this blog, I thought I would do something a little different and much better suited for a formal dinner or maybe even a pre or post holiday dinner party.
Appetizers:
Hummus and Onion Tarts
3-4 premade vegan pie crusts
Double Batch of Hummus
6 yellow onions, sliced
1 tsp Salt
1 tbsp Arabic Seven Spice
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. In an iron skillet saute onions with salt and Arabic Seven Spice. Roll out pie crusts and cut into 6-inch diameter rounds. Place the rounds in muffin tins, prick with a fork and bake in the oven for about 15 minutes, until the crusts are lightly browned. Fill cooked crusts with hummus and top with sauteed onion mixture.
Salad:
Soup:
Main Course:
A slice of Spinach Pie on top of a bed of Middle Eastern Spiced Rice, with thinned hummus drizzled on top.
To thin hummus, add 1/4 olive oil and 2-3 tbsp water.
Dessert:
Keylime Pie
2 containers tofutti cream cheese
1 container tofutti sour cream
1/4 cup agave syrup
Juice from 6 limes
zest from 2 limes
1/3 cup maple syrup
2 tbsp cornstarch
1/2 cup water
1 package vegan graham crackers
1/4 cup vegan butter spread
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Mash graham crackers and mix with vegan butter spread. Press graham cracker mixture into an 8 inch pie dish. Mix cream cheese, sour cream and 1/4 cup agave syrup until nice and creamy. Bring water and lime juice to a boil. Remove from heat and put in a glass measuring cup. Wipe pan out and add corn starch. Slowly add the lime water and whisk constantly to fully mix in the cornstarch. Add maple syrup and cook until mixture begins to thicken. Add lime juice mixture to cream cheese mixture and pour into pie crust. Bake in the oven with a small oven safe glass or dish of water for about 45-50 minutes.
No holiday celebration is complete without a beautiful outfit to go with it. Holiday outfits tend to be elegant and simple with beautiful lines and neutral colors.
I found a beautiful simple black dress that I absolutely adore. This 3/4 legnth black dress by Ermanno Daelli is made of 100% cotton and is cruelty-free. It is truly elegant and can be one with a beautiful black shawl, sweater or scarf.

This dress wold look great great paired with a beautiful red Mary Jane style pump, like these beautiful satin Luichiny Noelle’s.
They are a great way to add a sexy touch to your holiday outfit. No outfit is complete without a beautiful purse. Try this great Rosetti purse.
It is a great neutral compliment to this outfit, allowing the shoes to be the star. One bold statement per outfit is definitely enough.
I hope you all have a fantastic Thanksgiving.
