Fur is Dead
Okay, I had planned to lighten things up a bit today, but as I read through the fashion headlines, I have repeatedly read that the fashion world is once again on the fur bandwagon. I would really like to know what the appeal is of wearing dead animals. How beloved rabbit on mink suddenly become desirable clothing wear. WHEN YOU WEAR FUR, YOU ARE WEARING A DEAD ANIMAL ON YOUR BACK. And that dead animal is often a baby, because their fur is softer, hence more sought after. People were horrified during Silence of the Lambs, when the crazy men made a coat of human skin and put it on himself, but they have no problem wearing a coat of animal skin. Does anyone see the irony in that.
I just don’t get the appeal, especially when there are so many cruelty-free fashion alternatives. Are we so callous that we really do not care who or what has died for our fashion and beauty products. Tortured animals, no problem. Fur off their backs, no problem. As long as I have my beloved beauty or fashion item. It is a problem. It is a unbelievably huge problem. Animals die in this process.
As a tribute to today’s topic, I thought I would post some beautiful fur alternative clothing, in which no animals had to die for.
These first two jackets are more casual. Both have just a little faux fur trim.
This first one jacket is by Faux-Fur-Trim Denim Jacket by Baby Phat. It is very cute and casual and can be worn with black skinny jeans and ankle boots. This one is definitely for the young at heart.
Next, we have the Giacca A Gallery Faux Fur Trim Puffy Coat. This style of jacket is very in vogue right now and would be great with your standard skinny jeans and a beautiful black turtlenecked sweater. Top it with some great knee high boots and you have the perfect outfit to wear out on those cold winter days.
I love this Faux Fur Trimmed Wraparound Sweater. It would be beautiful paired as is with black pants, but even better with a grey or black pencil skirt and some knee high boots or platform black shoes.
Next, we have some more elegant coats, perfect for a night out on the town.
This first coat is the Salt and Pepper Faux Fur Coat. This short 3/4 length sleeved jacket is great when you want to warm up, but still show off as much of your outfit as possible.

This next coat is in classic faux fur style. This is the Signature Series Faux Fur Coat by Fabulous-Furs.

I saved my favorite for last. This beautiful Snowflake Faux Fur Trimmed Faux Shearling Coat screams winter. I can’t say enough about this coat. It reminds me of a snowy winter night and I WANT IT. Do you read the DH, I want this jacket.

So as you can see, you don’t have to torture animals to have beautiful fashionable clothing.
