Fourth of July Fashion
Please don’t be too mad at me for not posting in so long. Sometimes life can just get away with you and mine has been pretty hectic. This is always my “crazy” time of year. This is the time of year when just about my whole family has a birthday, graduations, mother’s day, father’s day, etc. etc. It is also my busy school time of year, when I just have a ton of assignments due. Good news, I passed my Comprehensive Exam, which is a major, major hurdle towards getting my PhD. I only have a couple of classes, dissertation and internships left, woohoo! Talk about being stoked. I have also been looking for a new job, one that will afford me the opportunity to build up my fashion repertoire. Yes, I finally landed one working at our local state hospital. I will be working with a committee to revamp the entire state hospital program, which is really exciting. Anyway, enough about me, what you all really come here for is the fashion and though I haven’t been posting like I want to, I have still been on the hunt for great clothing. Today’s post is all about the red, white and blue and I hope you enjoy because these fashions are all about summer and the fourth of July. Anything from ultra-casual to summer chic.
KEEP YOUR EYE ON THE RED:
I am totally loving these red hot Lifestride Shamrock sandals. So cute and so perfect for summer. Pair these great shoes with a pair of white shorts, a red top and a jean jacket. Too cute.
I so love this red Apron Dress by Stewart + Brown. Made of 100% organic cotton canvas surplus, you can’t get much kinder to your skin or the environment. I love the cut of this dress, so simple and cute.

This Thieves Tank is super casual and so perfect for that summer workout (just make sure to put on your organic sunscreen). Made of Bamboo and Organic cotton this tank is super soft and will move with you.
KEEP YOUR EYE ON THE WHITE:
I love these organic cotton long shorts by Gaiam. They would be perfect with the Lifestride shoes above! The long short is so popular right now and these are just want the fashionista in all of us needs for the put together, yet casual look.

Shorts not your thing, how about these great Deconstructed Half Pants by Stewart + Brown, made of 100% organic cotton blended with polyester and spandex to give you that extra stretch for comfort. Who says fashion can’t be comfortable?
This Skin Organic Terry Wrap Chemise is the perfect cover-up for the beach, pool or lake. Super absorbable cotton material, yet fashionable enough to wear to the store on the way to you day long outtings. Step up your casual beachwear fashion.
Okay, I am really loving this classy Bamboo Wrap Dress by Thieves is perfect for an afternoon barbecue or business gathering. Made of organic materials, this great dress also comes in black and red.
AND THE BLUE:
Going more to the casual side, this great Of the Earth Wunder Jacket would definitely be cute with the white organic long shorts, a red top and the red shoes above. Casual, yet totally put together. The jacket would be a great topper when the sun begins to dip and the wind begins to pick-up while watching those spectacular night time fireworks.

For those of you who wear jeans no matter what the weather, how about so hippy chic Of the Earth Boho Jeans. Think Daryl Hannah.
Finally, we have this super cute blue Frill Tie Top by Thieves. I love the fabric and the flattering cut. This top would be cute with shorts or a skirt and could even be worn to the office. Love the versatility.
KEEP YOUR EYE ON THE RED, WHITE AND BLUE (FASHION THAT IS!)
HAPPY FOURTH OF JULY!!
Make sure to check back later this week, because I will have some information on a couple of great companies that have been emailing me lately.
