Alberto is a shampoo and conditioner company. It is under Alberto-Culver, which was an American corporation that majored in the manufacture of hair and skin beauty products.

It is now under Unilever, which was founded in 1955. Their headquarters are at 2525 Armitage Avenue, Melrose Park, Illinois, US.

Is Alberto V05 Cruelty-free?

No, they are not cruelty-free. A while back, it was difficult for customers to know which brand or products were cruelty-free.

All we had to rely on was the company’s official statement, which was rare and sometimes inaccurate. This is no longer the case.

Today you can easily know if a brand is cruelty-free by considering the following criteria:

• The company does not conduct any form of animal testing on their products
• Their ingredients are free from any animal-derived ingredients

After in-depth research, we found out that Alberto V05 does sell in China. Some of their products also contain animal-derived ingredients, which makes them not 100 percent vegan.

Some cruelty-free brands refuse to sell their products to China because of this law. However, Alberto V05 still sells its products there, even if it costs the animals their lives.
